FAQ: The Contest

QUESTION: If my dog is selected to be in the Amy and Angel movie and my dog needs training, will you provide the training for my dog?

ANSWER: Yes. If we cast your dog in our movie, and training is needed, we’ll provide that training at our cost. We haven’t worked out all the logistics yet related to how we would provide the dog training, but that will be worked out later once we are a few months away from filming the movie.

QUESTION: If my dog is selected to be in one of the entertaining videos for the new Amy and Angel YouTube channel or other social media platforms, will my dog need training?

ANSWER: No. The series of entertaining doggie videos will just be edited clips of some of the most amusing audition videos submitted.

QUESTION: If my dog is selected to be in the Amy and Angel movie, and my dog needs some training, but my dog isn’t learning the training well, can my dog still be in the movie?

ANSWER: If your dog is selected to be in the movie in a roll where the dog needs to do a certain move, yet your dog isn’t training well for that move, we would most likely not use your dog in that role. However, we would do the best we could to cast your dog in another part of the movie.

QUESTION: Is the cash prize for being in the movie?

ANSWER: No. The three cash prizes are awarded to the most fun-to-watch dog video auditions as judged by the producers, director and a select group of dog trainers. However, winning a cash prize also provides the opportunity for your dog to be in the movie as long as your dog is well-behaved around a movie set, around lots of people and can take dog training well if needed.

QUESTION: How long should the video be?

ANSWER: No longer than two minutes. Please read the Terms and Conditions for the specifications on video submissions to make sure the highest quality and file types are used.

QUESTION: If my dog is cast in the movie or is in one of the social media videos, as the owner of the dog, will I get paid?

ANSWER: In addition to the cash prizes awarded, any dog cast in the movie there will be a talent fee paid to the owner of the dog for performing in the movie. If any portion of your audition video is edited into one of the entertaining social media videos, there will be no compensation made to the dog owner.

QUESTION: Will I be notified if any portion of my audition video submitted is used in one of the entertaining social media videos?

ANSWER: Yes, you would be notified by email.

QUESTION: Will there be callbacks, meaning second or third auditions if the producers want a closer look at the dogs ability to be trained, work around a movie set or just to have a meet and greet with the dog and the dog’s owner? Who would pay for travel expenses?

ANSWER: Yes. The producers would pay for standard airfare accommodations in travel and lodging for the owner and their dog.
